Know the Route. Own the Race.
Plan with confidence using the world's most detailed accessibility analysis for wheelchair athletes and mobility aid users. From camber and corners to width and terrain — we reveal what actually matters before you roll.
Route Analysis for Your Mobility Aid
Each course is scored separately for 6 user types. Choose yours to find the best routes for you.
Standard Wheelchairs
Manual wheelchairs for everyday mobility and parkrun participation. Each course is analyzed for everyday accessibility with consideration for typical wheelchair dimensions and handling characteristics.
Off-Road Wheelchairs
Purpose-built for uneven terrain and grass courses. Courses are evaluated for their ability to be tackled by these specialized all-terrain wheelchairs.
Racing Wheelchairs
Highly optimized for speed on smooth tarmac surfaces. We analyze camber, corners, and surface quality to ensure courses are suitable for competitive racing.
Frame Runners
Three-wheeled running frames with guide support for assisted participation. Each course is evaluated for path width, stability, and terrain suitability.
Walking Frames
Wheeled walking aids for mobility support and independence. Courses are analyzed for surface type, gradient, and terrain stability.
Crutches & Sticks
Upper limb mobility aids for varied mobility needs. Each course is evaluated for gradient, surface grip, and overall accessibility for users with upper limb support.

The Camber Challenge
While runners might barely notice a slight slope across a path, wheelchair users feel every degree of camber. A 5-degree cross-slope that's negligible to a runner can make pushing a wheelchair exhausting or even dangerous. Camber affects your balance, efficiency, and risk of tipping. Traditional course descriptions ignore this entirely—we measure it.
Surface Matters More
Gravel that slows a runner down might make a wheelchair completely inaccessible. Grass that feels soft underfoot can be impossible to roll through. Even slight variations in tarmac quality create vibration and resistance. We detail every surface change so you know exactly what to expect before you arrive.
Corners Aren't Just Turns
Runners take corners at speed with leg power to adjust. Wheelchair users need wider lines and different angles of approach. A tight corner that feels natural to a runner might require a 20-meter arc for a wheelchair. We measure corner angles and severity so you can plan your racing line.
Width Changes Everything
A path that feels spacious to a runner might be too narrow for side-by-side racing or passing. Pinch points and obstacles that are minor inconveniences for runners can completely block wheelchair access. We identify every width variation so you know where you can race freely and where you'll need to slow or plan carefully.
Elevation Isn't Just Hills
Runners feel gradient in their legs. Wheelchair users feel it through their entire body—in their arms, shoulders, and core. A 2% grade that's gentle for running might be a sustained push for a wheelchair athlete. We break down not just total elevation but gradient distribution, so you understand the pacing demands of each section.
The Confidence Factor
Not knowing what to expect creates anxiety and uncertainty. You might avoid courses that are actually perfectly accessible, or push through courses that exhaust you unnecessarily. With detailed accessibility data, you can choose courses that match your abilities, train effectively, and race with confidence. That's what WHEELCHAIR RACER makes possible.
Parkrun is for everyone, but "everyone" has different accessibility needs. Generic route descriptions weren't built for wheelchair athletes. We are.
